Can you answer Sky’s question about Backpacks?:

I’m going into hgih school. I don’t like rolling backpacks because I trip over them so much and it’s hard to carry them up the( extremely high) stairs. What should i say to convince my parents to get me something else rather than a rolling backpack? HELPP!!
My parents are EXTREMELY hard to convince

Backpacks Feedback: i think the wheels and what not make it more expensive.. just say i dont want one.. and theyll probably not get a rolling back pack

Backpacks Feedback: Well, I am a mother and I have to laugh because I think I understand. My guess is that it’s geeky and you would be embarrassed by the rolling bag. I think the best policy is honesty. Your parents are probably trying to protect your back which is a good thing to do. If, however, you are extremely embarrassed by the bag I would tell them that you simply will refuse to carry it. Tell them that they would be wasting their money and to please understand you just want a different kind of bag. Being honest, rather than trying to justify your reasons with things that might not be the real issue never works too well with parents. Being honest can be the best route to gain their sympathy.

Backpacks Feedback: Say your friend has a INSERT TYPE OF BACKPACK YOU WANT and it has wide straps that don’t hurt your back!

Or research backpacks online and find some good ones with supportive straps. If you take the time to know what you want, they’ll take you more seriously!

    Good Luck!

Backpacks Feedback: a: where you use it may not be convenient for a rolling backpack -exa- exposed ground
b: it is more expensive than a regular backpack
c: crowded hallways + rolling backpack = disaster
d: the fabric around the wheels might tear
    e: really geeky

Backpacks Feedback: Tell them it’s a hazard, especially in crowded hallways. Someone could trip over it and fall and hurt themselves and other people. And mention what a struggle it is for you to carry it around too. Maybe find a good backpack that’s cheaper than a rolling one and tell them they’d save money if they bought it instead and plus you’d actually use it. And make it last through out high school so you don’t have to go through this again lol.
